Business outside Brazil
easydine also serves businesses incorporated outside Brazil. Today, the available country is Paraguay. The business uses its own country's document (in Paraguay, the RUC), sells in that country's currency and opens its customer pages in that country's language.
The dining room, the cashier, ordering at the table by QR code, the digital menu, the online store and bookings all work. Delivery and online payment do not: they only exist in Brazilian reais.
Register the business in the dashboard
First, create your account and confirm your email. Then, in your profile menu, choose Create organization:
- Enter the business name.
- Tick Company outside Brazil.
- Under Country, choose the business's country.
- Under Company document, enter the registration number as it appears on the document (in Paraguay, the RUC). The field accepts letters, digits, spaces, dots, hyphens and slashes, with at least one digit.
- Under Legal name (Razão Social), type the name as it appears on the business registration. Outside Brazil there is no automatic lookup by document: what you type is what counts.
- Check the Currency, the Customer language and the Organization timezone. All three come filled in with the country's default: in Paraguay, the Paraguayan guarani (Gs.), Spanish (Paraguay) and the Asunción time zone.
- Click Save organization.
From there, everything works as in Create your account and choose a plan.
To change these details later, go to Organization → Settings: the country, the document, the legal name, the currency and the customer language are under Billing Information, and the timezone under Timezone. The country, and a switch between a CNPJ/CPF and another country's document, only change while the business has no location; after that, the other country is another business.
A business with a CNPJ or CPF does not see the currency and language fields: it always sells in reais, and its customer pages open in Portuguese.

One business per country
The locations of a business outside Brazil are in its own country. Under Locations, when you add or edit a location, the Country field already shows the business's country and cannot be changed. If you also operate in another country, Brazil included, each country is a separate business on easydine.
The business's currency
Menu prices, orders, the table's bill, the cashier and reports are in the business's currency, in its own format. In Paraguay, a price shows as Gs. 25.000, with no cents. A business in Brazil always sells in reais.
You can change the currency under Organization → Settings as long as the business has no amount entered in it (a product or menu item price, a cover charge, a fixed-amount promotion), no order and no table ever opened in the dining room. After the first amount, order or table, only easydine support can change the currency, and the dashboard tells you so when you try. The reason: amounts already entered are not converted, so the same number would start counting in the other currency.
Delivery and online payment: reais only
Delivery and online payment (card or Pix through easydine) only work in Brazilian reais. A business that sells in another currency has the dining room, the cashier, ordering at the table by QR code, the digital menu, the online store and bookings, but no delivery and no online payment. Under Orders → Configurations, the delivery option is disabled, and the Currency field of the registration already says so: delivery and online payment are only in reais.
At the table, nothing changes: the guest pays on your card machine or in cash, and the payment is recorded at the cashier. Without online payment, the 10% fee on orders paid online does not apply either.
Discount codes exist for delivery only and stay in reais.
The subscription
The easydine subscription is always billed in Brazilian reais, whatever the business's currency. The plans and prices are the ones in Plans and limits.
The dining room outside Brazil
The dining room, the cashier and ordering from the table QR work at the locations of a business outside Brazil, in its own country. The Santa Catarina rule and the rule about the state on the address still apply to Brazilian businesses. See how the dining room works in Dining room, cashier and kitchen.
Your customers' language
The online store, the table pages (QR code) and the booking pages are in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Each page opens in the business's customer language. The pages' Spanish is Paraguay's, and that is what each page tells search engines: Spanish, for an audience in Paraguay.
| Business | Language the pages open in |
|---|---|
| With a CNPJ or CPF (Brazil) | Portuguese |
| Outside Brazil | The one in the Customer language field: in Paraguay, Spanish (Paraguay), unless you change it |
The customer can switch the language in the page footer, in the Language field. Each language is written in itself (Português, English, Español), so that someone who cannot read the page's language can find their own. The choice holds for later visits in that browser.
The emails the customer receives go out in the language they were using:
- the order confirmation and the out-for-delivery notice, in the language they placed the order in;
- the booking confirmation, change and cancellation, in the language they booked in;
- the emails about their account on the store, such as activation and password reset, in the language the account was created in.
The dashboard and your team's emails stay in Portuguese or English.
What is still in Portuguese
- The store's legal pages (Terms, Privacy and Cancellation & Refunds) are in Portuguese, whatever language the page is in.
- With Spanish as the customer language, the printed PDF menu, the bill the waiter shows on their phone (show the bill) and the ready-made reasons for refusing a QR order still come out in Portuguese. The printed pre-bill comes out in Spanish; on the thermal printer, it needs the updated printing app.
