Team notifications

A new order, a changed booking, a table asking for the bill, a payment past due: easydine tells your team in the dashboard, by email and with a notification in the browser or on the phone. You decide, per event, who receives it and where.

Where to set it up

Go to Organization → Notifications. The screen has one line per event, grouped into orders, bookings and account. On each line you switch the alert on or off, tick the channels and choose who receives it.

ChannelWhat it is
In the panelThe bell at the top of the dashboard. It is the record: it stays until the person reads it.
EmailOne email to each person told, with the summary and a link to the dashboard.
PushA notification in the browser or on the phone, even with the dashboard closed, subject to each device's support.

Who receives it can be every member, chosen roles, chosen members or the owner. Only people allowed to see the subject appear in the list: someone without access to orders does not get order alerts, even if their role is ticked.

In businesses with more than one location, each alert can apply to some locations only. The status-change alert can apply to some statuses only.

What comes switched on

The new order alert comes on for the whole team, in the panel and by push. Account and payment alerts go to the owner. The others start off; switch on the ones that make sense for you.

New orders on the order board

The order board plays a sound when a new order comes in, shows the count in the tab title and a toast with a View button. The sound needs a tap on the page first: if the browser has not unlocked it yet, an Enable sound button appears. Each device can mute its own; the default for the organization lives under Organization → Notifications.

With the dashboard tab in the background for a long time, the browser slows down how often the list refreshes, so the sound can lag. Push is what arrives right away.

Push in the browser and on the phone

Under Organization → Notifications, in the Browser push section, each person enables push for the device they are on. The permission belongs to the browser and applies per device: enabling it on the computer does not enable it on the phone.

The alert arrives subject to the browser's and the system's support and conditions:

  • Chrome, Edge and Firefox on the computer: while the browser is open.
  • Android: at the system level, like any other app.
  • iPhone and iPad: only with the dashboard added to the Home Screen. Open the dashboard in Safari, tap share and Add to Home Screen; then enable push from there.

The same section lists Your devices: every device where you enabled push, with the browser and system it reports, the date it was enabled and a mark on the one you are using. Remove turns push off for that device — the others keep receiving, and you can enable it again from that device.

If notifications are blocked, the screen shows the way to allow them in the site settings.
